"Once upon a hard time
A herd of royal loving vagabonds
Pulled their shackles on
And fell into their fate"
The upcoming 4th Mailman album 'The Lighthouse & The Rocks' will be an orchestral influenced matter of life and death set in a spiritually disconnected technofascist dystopia* that he fully intends to release to zero fanfare, streams and sales at some point in the future.**

(** A joke. Dark marketing. Darketing, if you will)
Sussex UK based singer-songwriter and producer Jamie Stanley (aka: Stan / Mailman) has been writing, recording and performing his music for as long as he can remember.
Which, on a good day, is about a week.
In July 2022, he released a remastered version of the debut 2011 'Long Walk Home' EP featuring a previously unreleased cover of the Kate Bush classic 'Running Up That Hill'.
In 2019, he released a single a month via AWAL, four of which were playlisted by BBC Introducing for BBC Sussex and Surrey, all of which feature on the 3rd Mailman album 'S3ASON' (season three), which was released at the end of 2020 - with 3 alternate versions and 3 new tracks, an attempt to square the circle of the pre & post Covid world.
An updated animated video for Help Musicians fundraiser and 12th single 'A Thing Called Christmas' was released in December 2021. A special lockdown video for bonus track 'Kaitlyn' was released on 04/09/2020.
The 2018 double concept album 'Yang Yin' was mastered by award winning engineer Mandy Parnell (The XX, Bjork, Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, UNKLE and many more) and released independently in July that year. Album track 'Nothing In The Way' was BBC Introducing's 'Track of the Day' on the BBC Sussex & Surrey drivetime shows on 21/08/18. Single 'Owe It To My Heart' achieved the same accolade on 12/09/18.
Mailman and 'Yang Yin' were briefly longlisted in 3 categories of the 2019 MPG Awards alongside the Arctic Monkeys, Manic Street Preachers and Tori Amos. It was too independent to be shortlisted, but Mandy went on to win her category for her work that year, including on 'Yang Yin'. Yay.
The début Mailman album 'No News Is Good News' was released in 2014 on small Australian label SJE Records.
BACKGROUND
Since his London open mic beginnings at age 18, Stan has earned a reputation as an artist with a social conscience, not afraid to tackle the big subjects while embracing the power of music to make a positive difference to people's lives. With a combination of social awareness, powerful song-writing and big productions he seeks to deliver an inspiring and uplifting musical experience.
On 9th November 2011 he was lucky enough to share a stage with Billy Bragg, Chumbawumba, Peggy Seeger, Steve Knightly and Leon Rossiter at Occupy London where he performed his song Fear of Foxes to the 600+ crowd gathered on the steps of St. Pauls. In December the same year, the studio version of the song appeared on the début Mailman EP 'Long Walk Home' , released independently on iTunes and most other online stores. The 2nd EP 'The Karma Sessions: Volume 1' came out in February 2012 and is available exclusively on Bandcamp, as is the imaginatively titled 2015 follow up 'The Karma Sessions: Volume 2'.
