THE LOWDOWN
Mailman is Sussex UK based artist and producer Jamie 'Stan' Stanley, a solo studio project that manifests live as anything from solo acoustic up to a full five piece band.
In 2018, after releasing double concept album 'Yang Yin', Stan had four new tracks down and a loose plan to do the complete opposite: release an impactful stand alone single each month throughout 2019, writing and recording the rest along the way to keep things topical (which culminated in the somehow unforeseen and yet completely inevitable charity record 'A Thing Called Christmas'...)
The plan then became to release them all together as an album with bonus tracks the following year. Then 2020 happened... resulting in significant delay - but also a new perspective on both the singles and the brand new tracks.
The result is an attempt to square the circle of a pre & post 2020 world. Does it? Hit play and judge for yourself.
